The ceremony took place at the sta%ufffdon%u2019s boathouse on the Volharding near De Cocksdorp, marking the vessel%u2019s official entry into service. The Alies en Evert Floor is the fourth vessel in the Van Wijk class built by Habbek%u00e9 Shipyard, designed for high-performance rescue opera%ufffdons in challenging coastal condi%ufffdons.The new Search and Rescue Boat was built by the North Holland shipyard Habbeke Shipyard and the Van Wijk class is a further development of the Valen%ufffdjn 2000. The new lifeboat was technically designed by Gaastmeer Design. Just like with the transi%ufffdon from the original Valen%ufffdjn to the 2000, the Van Wijk has been extended to the rear. This %ufffdme by 50 cen%ufffdmetres to create more space above deck. The hull shape has remained largely the same, but the technology in the lifeboat has been completely renewed. In addi-%ufffdon, a new drowning valve has been installed and the new advanced engines have been moved further forward for be%ufffder balance.UZMAR DELIVERS SECOND ASD TUG SD DJOUDJ FOR KOTUGUZMAR Shipyard has successfully delivered the SD DJOUDJ, the second of five state-ofthe-art RAstar 3200W ASD terminal support and escort tug, to global mari%ufffdme leader KOTUG. This milestone reinforces the strategic partnership between UZMAR and KOTUG, advancing sustainable towage solu-%ufffdons for ports worldwide.SD DJOUDJ has departed UZMAR Shipyard on her maiden voyage and is enroute to her home in Senegal, where she will play a key role in eleva%ufffdng towage capabili%ufffdes across West Africa. This delivery marks not only a milestone in the KOTUG-UZMAR partnership but also a significant step forward in advancing high-performance, environmentally responsible towage solu%ufffdons in the region.Measuring 32 meters in length and delivering an impressive 80 tonnes of bollard pull, SD DJOUDJ is engineered for power, precision, and endurance. She is fully cer%ufffd-fied to IMO Tier III standards, offering reduced emissions and aligning with KOTUG%u2019s firm commitment to greener, more sustainable opera%ufffdons on a global scale.
